Miguel Osvaldo Etchecolatz

Miguel Etchecolatz was Commissioner General of Police for the province of Buenos Aires, where he acted as the right hand of Buenos Aires Police Chief Ramón Camps. He acted as General Director of Investigations for the Buenos Aires Police. He was responsible for the 21 Clandestine Detention Camps that functioned in Buenos Aires, among them the Pozo de Quilmes, COT1 Martínez and the División Cuatrerismo de La Plata (Arana). Among many disappearances and killings, Etchecolatz was responsible for the "Night of the Pencils", an operation that involved the disappearance of several high school students in one night.

He was convicted in Federal Court of 91 charges of torture, and sentenced to 23 years in Prison. However, he was freed through the "Due Obedience" law.

He has gone on to write books defending the repression in Argentina, and is now vicepresident of ANIDAR (a fascist group formed by retired military, ex-repressors and neo-nazis). His address is: Av.Pueyrreón 1035 9° A, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tel 962-4672
