A Discovery in San Pedro, Buenos Aires province - File N° 1296

The report of the San Pedro cemetery director on burials marked with the label 'no name' draws attention to the case of two corpses brought in on 28 September and 2 October 1976:

... both were retrieved from the waters of the Paraná river in the San Pedro district, blindfolded, gagged and with their hands tied behind their backs with wire. It was obvious at a glance that they had been maltreated. I think that these and other facts will certainly appear in the records of the charges which were brought at the time, since the forensic doctor carried out proper autopsies. In fact he performed them in this cemetery, inspecting the bodies minutely (I am sure of this). Note that both certificates say death by suffocation even though the bodies had been rescued from the Paraná river, and this gives the clue that they were dead when they were thrown into the water, or it would have been death by drowning.
