Location:

Calle Chile with Alberti, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires province.

Description:

Two pedestrian entrances, one main and one secondary, from Calle Chile. The main entrance led into a passageway and across a courtyard to give access to a zone of communal and individual cells numbered 1 to 8. Opposite the individual cells was a bathroom. The cell doors were of iron. The communal cells were several times larger than the individual ones. There was a yard for each communal cell and a bathroom for every two cells. A parking area with an entrance from Calle Chile led into the building through a doorway where a wall has now been built.
