Argentine company ordered to pay reparations to victim of forced disappearance

The Siderca company, belonging to the Techint Group, was ordered by the Buenos Aires Supreme Court to pay damages to the wife of a union delegate who was disappeared on his way home from work during the dictatorship. The court found the company liable under the work accidents law. Human rights activist consider this an important precedent, as many union leaders were disappeared after their companies turned them in to the military.
