La Cacha (PAC)

Location:

Old buildings of Radio Provincia, de Buenos Aires, adjoining Olmos Prison, between Calles 191, 47, 196 and 52 (General Belgrano, railway), Lisandro Olmos, District of La Plata, west of the town of that name, Buenos Aires province.

Description:

Old and poorly preserved main building, three storeys high. Basement with room for twelve prisoners. The ground floor had a large room for staff, torture rooms, collective cell for some ten prisoners. The first floor had a huge room divided into boxes, separated by ornate wire structures, with room for some twenty prisoners. Mosaic floor and vents. In addition, there were two little rooms with no door. The bathroom was on another level, a few steps down. Outside, an antenna about 70 metres high and disused radio equipment.
