- 1984
Monte Pelone (PAC)
Location:
On Route 76, near Olavarría.
Description:
Once an old farmhouse, it now belongs to the Army, which uses the fields for manoeuvres and as a firing range. The main building was long, with eaves covered in creeper, and a path around it. Pitched roof, barred windows, tiled floor. A large room containing a bed and a leather armchair. Interrogation room, a room 30 centimetres above the level of the others, and four further rooms with a metal bed-frame. There was no bathroom. Beside the house was a building consisting of a covered storage area, a kitchen and several rooms, one of which was used as a torture room and which was down two or three steps. Opposite was the caretakers' accommodation. Between them, in the patio, were two tents. Both these and the dishes bore the inscription E.A. (Argentinian Army). An electric generator with a combustion engine could be heard.
