Los Plátanos Transmitting Station (PAC)

Location:

100 metres from Los Plátanos station on the General Roca railway line, to the east of Avenida Mitre, District of Berazategui, Buenos Aires province.

Description:

Access was through a gate and along a dirt road approximately 200 metres long. There was a wall on the south side of the property. A tall building, with a stone or marble staircase. Roughly finished concrete ceilings, unplastered walls and smooth concrete floors in the cells. Bathroom with no door and a hole for a lavatory. on the left of the passage was a torture room, with a mosaic floor; the surrounding countryside could be seen through the windows, and through an elongated ventilation opening at the end of the passageway a metal structure was visible, which may have been a windmill or a radio antenna, There were two narrow cells immediately next to the torture room and then more rooms.
